Handmaid of the Lord is a live performance that has been commissioned by a variety of churches within Winnipeg. It is a combination of storytelling enhanced by music composed by Monika Wall, which is rooted in stories of the bible. Initially, this project was a solo performance by Monika Wall with an accompanist, and has since grown to include five soloists, a narrator, and a band. A variety of professional musicians have been included in what the show has become, leading to audience members describing it as meaningful and deeply engaging.
